Your fist visit will be a thorough and comprehensive assessment of your total health and will last 90 minutes. The goal of this visit is to address any concerns you may have, identify any immediate needs, and to formulate strategies for prevention to optimize your long-term total and dental health. By spending this much time and effort up front, we ensure that all of the services we render take into account your special needs and your plan for long-term health.
Our office offers a complete range of dental services including periodontal (gum) treatment, white fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, veneers, Invisalign, teeth whitening, occlusal guards, occlusal therapy, and treatment of sleep apnea. Because we are committed to absolute quality, we refer our patients to skilled specialists for any treatment that can be better performed by a specialist. By doing so, we ensure that only the most skilled and capable professionals are involved in your care every step of the way.
Most patients want to know if they can use their dental insurance for treatment rendered in our office, and the answer is YES. The majority of our patients have dental insurance, and we process insurance claims on their behalf every day. Many patients have dental insurance with a list of preferred providers. Although Dr. Brown is not a preferred provider for any insurance plans, our patients find that they can still maximize their insurance benefits. Most plans compensate our patients at a level similar to (and sometimes better than) what they would pay for “in-network” providers. On occasion, a patient will have a DMO - HMO insurance plan. These plans limit the patient to a narrow list of providers who have agreed to deeply discounted rates. In these cases, the insurance company will not allow benefits to be used for treatment rendered by Dr. Brown.
Sometimes your dental needs can easily be accommodated within the confines of insurance restrictions. Sometimes, however, your needs may lie outside of the scope of insurance coverage. When this happens, insurance restrictions and limitations still apply, regardless of your needs, and a dentist in contract with your insurance company is still obligated to provide care at a reduced rate or to limit the care they can provide. Because Dr. Brown has committed themselves to quality in absolutely everything that they do for you, they have elected not to participate in dental insurance plans.
